History!

Dear Principle,
I am a junior. And not so long ago on my History class we started to study Holocaust and World War 2. And our teacher, one of not many, who decided to inform us about the other very important element of world history. It is genocide. And we touched the topic of Rape of Nanking and Ukrainian Famine. And we, juniors, are old enough to understand the deepest contect of those horrible events. Why we study history? Not just to be educated! We have to learn from our history. The most important thing is not to repeat the hoorible thing Hitler, Stalin, Mussalini did. Yes, it is very hash and scary but if we don't know the result of the "reforms" those dictators did we will not be to analyze them correct. And it is a great possibility that somebody would try to do it. Not knowing is the most horrible thing ever.
History is not emberissing. We understand now that those countries changed and those dictators died. We can't blame Japanees now for killing, in such an terrible way, chineese people. Today the population of Japan is not in respond for those unpeople, who made fathers rape their daughters, who hanged those people, who put the young children on the sharp stickes. We can't blame nowadays Japan, but we need to know! We have to know about the Ukrainian famine. Millions of people died starving. The Government broke those people down only because they wanted to be free and independent! And it is not all genocide that happend in our world.
Why are some events go to history books while others are not even alowed to talk about? Isn`t it happened? Isn`t it history?
We have to know and study these. Because how horrible and scary it is but it is our history.
There is no future without history.
So please let us prevent the horrible thing to happen in the futer.
Let us know!
